Connections groundbreaking

From left, Connections CEO Jacob Huerca, Carter Casteel, Kellie Stallings, former Connections executive director and Matthew Bonine, current executive director participate in a groundbreaking ceremony on phase one of their new campus, Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023. Phase one includes the emergency children’s shelter and transitional living facilities.

Over the past several weeks, New Braunfels has hosted groundbreaking ceremonies for numerous organizations, including Connections Individual and Family Services and the Spirit of Sharing (SOS) Food Bank

During the first week of October, the SOS Food Bank was finally able to take a huge step toward making a long-held goal a reality. The food bank, which has twice expanded its size in order to help serve the growing New Braunfels community, held a ceremony for its brand new warehouse building that is expected to be completed by February of 2024.
