Known as that “Food Bank Guy” Eric Cooper is the President and CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank. Through his dual strategies of feeding the line and shortening the line, Eric has received national recognition. It is this holistic approach to serving the entire community that has garnered community support while delivering measurable impact.

Committed to extreme efficiencies, Eric works to bend the cost curve of nourishing the hungry while rescuing surplus food from going to waste. He brings people around the table as an advocate for Social Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. National Geographic highlighted Erics commitment to building partnerships, sustainable agriculture, and the food economy. Locally, Eric has chaired the Mayor’s Fitness Council along with serving as a board member for Workforce Solutions Alamo and recently, elected to serve as a San Antonio Housing Trust Community Board member.
