PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN

In New Braunfels one in four children experience hunger.

Hunger has no limits on who it can impact and creates difficulties for a child and their capability to fully function in everyday life.  The ramifications of hunger often interferes with a child’s ability to sleep, impedes focus, and physical wellbeing of a child, often leading to illnesses due to lack of food and nutrition.

As a branch of the San Antonio Food Bank, we are able to confront the ongoing conflict of childhood hunger by providing two federally funded meal programs: Child and Adult Care Feeding Program/CACFP -Kids Café and Summer Food Service Program /SFSP – Summer Feeding Program. These feeding programs to provide much needed meals to high risk children in our community.
