COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE

Help your local Boy & Girl Scouts by Scouting For Food!

The New Braunfels Food Bank is proud to renew its partnership with the Boys Scouts of America Alamo Area Council and announce it’s new partnership with the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas.

Scouting for Food is a regional-wide food drive led by local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with the goal of collecting 25,000 pounds of food for those in need.

DRIVE HOURS

THE DRIVE WILL TAKE PLACE OVER TWO WEEKENDS
APRIL 14 – 21, 2018

  • BAG NEIGHBOR DISTRIBUTION DAY: On Saturday, April 14, 2018, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts all over San Antonio communities will deliver empty paper bags donated by H-E-B throughout your local neighborhoods. The bags include instructions with which non-perishable items are most needed. You can then leave the full bag on your doorstep early the following Saturday morning April 21, 2018.
  • FOOD COLLECTION DAY: On Saturday, April 21, 2018, as early as 8 AM, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will retrace their steps, pick up the filled bags and deliver them to drop points throughout the region where the San Antonio Food Bank will have trucks waiting to collect the bags.

DROP OFF LOCATIONS

Should you not receive a bag in your neighborhood but still wish to participate, please bring nonperishable food items to any of the following drop locations on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Look for the Food Bank truck in the following locations:
